This is one of my favorite parenting books of all time!
Here are my top three takeaways:

1. When talking with your kids, you get three sentences before it turns into a lecture.
2. You don't want a “gamer” in your basement at the age of 26, so how do you parent now and direct life circumstances while they are under your roof?
3. We can help them navigate difficult situations without doing it for them. We can use phrasing like, “If this was me, I would _____.” It offers guidance while instilling essential life skills such as problem solving, adaptability and empathy.
